White Belt, 10th Gup

Test Requirements

New students to the club participate in comfortable street clothes for the first few sessions while the student and club assess whether the student and club are a good match. Once the club and student agree that they are a good fit for each other, the student purchases their first Gi and receives a white belt.

The white belt represents innocence, a student with no prior knowledge of taekwon-do.

As a white belt, the student learns the foundational stances, blocks, kicks, and punches. These are the pieces for their first hyung or form, Chon-ji Hyung (chon-jee).
